Web 2.0

What does Web 2.0 mean to me? I believe Web 2.0 is suppose to be the warmer, kinder web that welcomes interaction between users. I believe Web 1.0 was more WYSWIG(what you see is what you get). It was the information superhighway where you could find information on anything you wanted to know. Web 2.0 encourages users to interact with web sites as well as other users. I now have friends and acquaintances from all over the world. If people were all of the same mindset, Web 2.0 could encourage world peace. Since that is not the case, I do not see that happening. The open-minded person can and probably will make several new friends plus learn a lot about other cultures.
